Skiing or Snowboarding? Some kid in another thread called me an idiot for claiming skiing came first? I have a hard time beliving otherwise, I mean skiing came for sledding for crying out loud! Slide down snow on but, slide down snow on 2 sticks (1 per foot), skateboarding/ surfing inspire the creation of surfing. Real hard to believe?

Skiing lol. Skiing was invented in 1200 BC by the Chinese in Tibet. They had to ski from one place to another to hunt and everything because of all the snow. If you've ever heard of Jake Burton. He invented snowboarding, like 40-50 years ago.

and whoever told you snowboarding came first is uneducated. . . without snowboarding skiers wouldnt have shaped skis. but straight skis have been here way before snowboards were even thought of
