Alright so today i went in for lunch after splitting my skis with a friends and i got back outside from lunch. and one of my skis and one of my friends are gone as well as my poles. so after looking around i am still missing one of my friends and one of my own skis. so the moral of the story is if you are in the north east and happen to go to a shop and and see: (1) moment reno jib 176 with a watch on the bases. and (1) 166 moment stiletto with the zebra graphics please let me know with a PM i will owe you the rest of my season.
Some hills don't have ski racks with locks on them. From what I remember every hill and their mother has them out east, and most "major" ones have them out west, but here in BC most of the hills I recreate don't. If Red Mountain ever got ski locks I doubt anyone would ever use them. We have a serious lack of assholes though... everyone's a friendly.
Ya not every mountain has the proper racks for those. I just use a standard cable lock for my skis and that works perfectly. They're mad cheap too. What would you prefer? Losing skis that are around 500+? Or buying a lock for like 20 bucks.?
Go to your local vet and get one of those gps tracking chips planted in the bottom of ur bindings. If your skis get stolen then you can call the cops give them info and hunt the guy down.
moment skis out east stand out pretty well at least. make sure to check places like craigslist and pawn shops surrounding the hill. probably a local that did it because it would be a pain for a tourist to have to bring back an extra pair of skis
make sure you report it to mountain security, im at a small mountain in pa and the security here is amazing. . . most mountains really work to get your stuff back, theyre in tune with the police and detective agencys and work with their cameras. they found my friends goggles in northern new jersey and were stolen at bear creek pa about an hour north of philly
that sucks i had a pair of skis stolen last year.
but eat your lunch on the chairlift, and ski all day therefor they will never leave your sight, and you get to ski more!
that sux. a few years back i was snowboarding and i go outside to see my snowboard mia, i look at the lift line and 2 mexican guys wearing carheart were strapped up in mine and my friends boards, when confronted em he just saying sorry, threw my board at me and ran. some people are just scumbags by nature
