Optic Nerve Presents the Thread of the Month Award

Hey NS,

The guys at Optic Nerve have decided to start doing a 'Thread of the Month' award here on NS, which will be decided by the NS staff and moderators in conjunction with the good folks at Optic Nerve.

We've decided to kick this thing off by announcing our favorite thread from the last month, which is the 'official thread for pictures of your parents wearing your ski gear': https://www.newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/507796/ 

Congrats to username FerrisBueller (who started the thread). You've won yourself a pair of Antero Goggles!

Don't worry, if anything this should encourage people to make quality threads instead of just random crap. This month it was a thread that ended up getting some hilarious responses, next month we may pick one that has a ton of helpful information in it. The winner is chosen by the NS and Optic Nerve staff and we have no intentions of giving it to just any old thread.

I think this will spawn a whole bunch of dumb threads, but among the dumb, will be a golden few. As usual. But the golden few will truly be great. The winning threads will most definitely be something that was started as an earnest idea for a thread, though- not just some 12 year old's plot to win goggles.

yay i won!!!!!!!!!!

My goggles are being used by my dad not me cause i have 3 crowbars, and he is real happy about them, especially for free!
