Idea for site organization...

So i have an idea. It would kinda be like the network part of facebook where whenever you join you select your resort so that way its easier to find people from your resort on NS or say you are going to a new resort and you want someone to chill and ski with well simply find that resort and click on it and pm someone from that resort.
I just think it would be a good tool to have. And as far as making the resort pages it would be done by the members if there resort wasnt already in the list. Just an idea. Feedback?

I agree that NS needs to become more social (other than the forums) and needs more Web 2.0 features, but I don't want to see it turning into Facebook.
And I'm sorry to say that your idea has been discussed dozens of times before in previous threads.

Actually, you can create a Cult for your mountain... you can chat with people from your mountain, post news about your mountain, read members blog... etc...
Cult just need to be more popular.

just use regionals thats what its for
or you could create a specific mountain cult like jp said

i guess i just got lucky with my 2 mountains. 7springs has a cult, and all the idaho kids are active in regionals

if you have an active regional finding people from your resort shouldnt be a problem.
