yup, just got my $8,000 from the government for the first time home buyers credit. want to take a guess how much i actually received? would you say more or less?

More. $165.63 more to be exact. so, now im sitting with $8,165.63 because i made interest on the 8,000, i guess. haha

anyways, anybody else take advantage of the credit?

i dont like Obama either, but would you really turn down the opportunity if you bought or built a house?

as i see it, we are going to be paying for Obamas outrageous spending here in the near future anyways so why not get your share of the action before he takes more out of me?

Im totally in agreement but $8,000 is alot of money, you would have to be quite pissed at obama to refuse 8 grand (plus interest)

its a credit on your taxes for last year or this year. but since i paid last years taxes i owe nothing. so i took the credit for last years taxes, therefore im looking (physically) at my check right now.

and it came from everybodys taxes, i know its not free money. duh

what i'm saying is for good public services that work money is need and it comes from tax and lets face it no one likes paying taxes.

to be fair obama is gunna tax you for increases in public spending elsewhere, expenditures which are pretty autonomous to healthcare.

if you are only 17 i highly doubt you are a credible source on the worst events in US history... im not trying to belittle you, it just seems a little bit of a stretch. and as far as people complaining about your tax money going to others in the form of credits for buying/building a house... i feel like it is alot better than many other things our tax dollars are spent on, right?

Is it still socialized if the Senate bill doesn't have a public option? The way I see it, there are a lot of good things to come from the bill as well (i.e. companies banned from denying coverage to those with preexisting conditions). It seems to be a pretty good compromise overall from what I've seen of it.

I dont think he realizes that once mom and dad are out of the picture that the way insurance is completly unaffordable for most young people starting their career. Its a tough choice between paying for it and going with out it. Also that fact that some companies policy to deny everything first then make you appeal the decision is bullshit.
