Need some ski help for a friend of mine.

So I have a friend that is a good size guy, about 6' 2'' and 180 or so.  He says he wants an all mountain ski, he like to ski bumps and groomers and basicly no park.  Any recommendations on some skis for him.  He likes them short, looking for something about 170, probably a fairly stiff flex.  Also dont know if I should recommend 12 din or 14 din binders.  He only skis about a week every year and from my understandings he skis the whole mountain.

Any help would be a big +k.  Need to find him skis before new years

because he hold me basicly no park he really doesnt care but i dont think twins would hurt anything as long as they fit what he needs according what i said above

Check out the Salomon Lord (169cm) or the Nordica Hot Rod Pro Burner (170cm), both are great wood core all mountain skis for a non-park rider.  Mid 80's underfoot, so they will be quick on the groomers but semi-wide enough for soft snow.  Given that he skis only a week out of the year, probably avoid skis that have a ton of metal in them.  Start there.

sounds good, I guss i should also say he wants them cheap so skis that are 2 or more years old are also good so i could find some on craigslist or something.

those would be a good choice. i have a pair from 2008 that i use as my pre/post season ski they charge all over the mountain

So k2 measures short, so a 174 is like a 175 or 76, but in comparing a twin to a flat tail ski a k2 174 twin like a 174 flat tail ski of another brand right?
