Rules

Pick 2 PHOTOS ONLY, if you pick 3, we will make you pick 2, it's a pretty simple rule to understand. It is, however, acceptable to vote for 1 and only 1 photo. After this we will determine a top 5 and then vote again.

”Topic: Alternative Lighting:


A photo is nothing without light, and what would happen when you use an unconventional light source? This does not mean pointing your camera at a floodlight and taking a picture, but using any means of lighting, i.e. headlamp, car lights, gels to set the scene and make your photo possible. Whether it is lighting up a subject in the foreground or an area in the background, try to bring light to something without simply using an on camera flash.

Here are a few examples from benk, the first shows how interesting it can be when you light up more than just the subject:
