I respect cops and what they do but that was total BS, a cop can pull their gun out if someone is threatening them but a snowball isn't exactly a deadly weapon

this. especially since it happened when DC was getting about 2 ft of snow. I get how throwing a snowball at a car can be dangerous, but when everyone is driving like 5 mph because it's dumping, and the car is already completely covered in snow, then its really not worth getting treated like assault with a deadly weapon.

i think that guy was confused and scared cause he was in DC but he managed to get surrounded by a lot of white people for some odd reason.  who wouldn't pull a gun out in that position.

While waving a gun around for that is pretty fucked up, he put it away pretty fast and called in backup. Granted it was stupid, and hot headed on his part, however the people in the wrong are some of those kids. Throwing snowballs at passing cars? Terrible idea. Throw a snowball at a cop who said not to? Terrible idea. Call a cop a fucking pig to his face? Terrible idea. I was hoping for an arrest.

As stupid as the people in the snowball fight are the cop totally fucking ignored procedure. Yeah the cop had the right to intervene but all he said is I'm a cop. Never showed proof, gave his name(at leas until the tother popo showed up, and he refused to give his badge #. If he did that instead of pulling his gun the people probably would have dispersed. Now his ass is at a desk and I foresee an early retirement. Its pretty sad that all the people involved were acting that way.

And I wish I could buy a beer for the guy who has the balls to yell fuck you pigs infront of a bunch of cops.

No, shoving the dude is not assault. He is a Police Officer! A random dude having a gun and a cop are two different things. Throwing a snowball at a cop is the same thing as shoving a cop or anything like that. Is this not common sense?
He got put into a shitty situation because a bunch of dudes decided to be doucher's. Yeah he over reacted but i would have arrested the first dude that threw one and situations over "wow this guy isn't fucking around".
When you know someones a cop you stop, it's simple.
I love snow ball fights but when you know it's a cop your retarded, enjoy being the smart ass fuck that gets arrested.

People throwing snowballs at passing hummers is some of the dumbest shit ive heard. Once they figure out its a cop they decide to throw more? What a bunch of idiots.

However the cop wayyy over reacted. Pulling out his gun was fucking stupid and there is no defending his actions on this. Police are suposed to be above this kind of bullshit, he should have reacted calmly instead of lowering himself to their level.

Both sides should be punished including the cop.
