Can you watch blue ray on a regular dvd player? Because im leaving college tomorrow and a kid left the hangover in my room and looks like ill have it for the break..

no- actually its Blue Ray- only Sony calls theirs BlluRay- and if we really want to get into this is actually a 22 layers encoded disk and the reader is actually called a SAM4- so why don't you shut the fuck up moron

Some BluRays do come with a standard version on the other side of the disc, so you might want to check. If worst comes to worst, you could copy the DVD to your computer and then encode it to a version that works on a standard DVD.

oh, forgot to mention that it is all quite pointless however, unless you've got yourself one of them fancy 1080dp or i tv's or whatever. & it's gonna look like shit if you've got the special TV, but it's too big for the room you put it in, which it probably is because you bought it at walmart. (not actually talking to the op, just kind of in general about most american users of bluray technology)

Another reason why NSG sucks so bad. You all get so angry about the slightest "stupid" thing that you freak out and....no longer give a shit. Instead of lifting people up, you push them down. Sad.

just sayin, it's called blue ray in the first place cause it uses a blue laser to read the disks. it uses blue cause it's a shorter wavelength than red (dvd) or infrared(cd). I just think mr panda is a bit of an asshole...

It's NSG.... if someone's feelings get hurt by something I say on NSG then they are taking NSG WAY too seriously. Now, if this was LM or something and I went off the chain I could understand people being pissed. But it isn't.
