Get a 10mm (size N) hook and use two strings instead of one. Much warmer than just a single thick.

Bumped this thread since I got a question... Whats the difference between singles and doubles ? When the guy in the second video said he started the pattern wich is SDSDSD etc... it seems like he is always doing the same thing... can someone explain?

Yeah, a single is a simple crochet stitch per stitch, and a double is two simple crochet stitches per stitch. So you do two stitches per stitch for a double, and one stitch per stitch for singles.
