Do you have to drive far to ski?

personally i have to drive like an hour and 45 mins.
its not cool when i get a serious midweek craving for skiing.

are most people this far from thier hill?

like 2 hours to loon mountain in nh. id rather a 2 hour drive than live in nh though, living in massachusetts is more entertaining

Bluewood - shit - 1hr 45min

1.5-2 hrs without traffic when I'm at school, 15-45 min when I'm at home, depending on where I feel like skiing.

Before moving out to school I lived about an 8 minute walk from the base of my home mountain (Grouse). 25 minutes to Cypress, 25 to Seymour.

About an hour and fifteen minutes for me to drive to Whistler where my family has a place. Yeah I had a dream set up.

Then I moved to school and its like 2-3 hours to the nearest mountain and ~6 hours to get home to ski on weekends. I definitely took what I had for granted.

1hr 15mins. Baldy is like 45 mins away but I stopped going there when they started grooming their runs.

4/5 hours to Mammoth.

I can ski to the family lift in Niseko in about 20-30 seconds. 1 min if there's traffic ;)

15-20 minutes to my local mtn.

I never thought of this but to a decent mountain 1.5 hours.

then 3 hours going fast, to a good park.

About an hour to the two local ones (neither of which are that great because the hardly ever get enough snow and hardly make a park (and snowmaking is virtually zero).  Around 20 hours to the Alps (less if flying/train) or just over 5 hours to Norway (including driving to resorts).

I live in Denmark and have to go to sweden, norway, austria, france or switzerland to go ski..

The trips i made last year costed me from 900 to 1300$ per week.. took about 18 - 24 hours to get there each time..

45 minutes to my indoor center just outside London, and more then its either catch the train or fly abroad to France or Austria for me.

Who knows maybe with all this global warming Scotland may become the new Alpine heaven in a few years LOL.

i got a nice 15 min drive to mt southington which for their size park is fairly decent

about 35 min to woodbury which is worse than southington

45 to sundown which i hate

around 1 30 to butternut but i never go

and lastly around 2 hrs to mt snow with the auger hole shortcut
