My family is planning a ski trip and we plan to leave just after Christmas. Our plans changed and we are now looking to drive eastward. We are coming from Grand Rapids Michigan (west side of the lower peninsula) and driving down through Ohio and up into New York and possibly Vermont. I want to know what ski resorts will offer the best park early in the season and the 'biggest' mountain. (vertical feet). Give me a few that you would think would be worth a 12 hour car ride for or if it's not worth it.
