I know i want to get a new thule box rack for my ski trips, but is it really worth getting the box if Im only gonna be bringing two pairs of skis at a time.

I could get a rack which is little cheaper but im kinda afraid of flying rocks and stuff.

flying rocks? rocks are to heavy and dont have wings, i doubt they will fly


thule shit is expensive, just get a ski rack. there is no reason for a box if you're just bringing skis.

and rocks will not harm your skis, even if they get hit, the most damage you will get will be a scratch

Yea but the salt and other road residue does get into the bases and rust the edges. Not to mention impair the function of several parts of the binding. If the roads are dry on the other hand it is not a big deal.

maybe keep an eye out on e-bay or 2nd hand stores/adds, etc....

the salt and road grime wont bother your skis unless you let the salt and shit sit on your skis when you are done skiing. Wipe them down when you get home.

I love the thule box I have on my car, I think I've fit 4 snowboards and 6 pairs of skis w/ poles in it. Also used it for a few road trips to put extra stuff in. It's also having my skis be clean when I get home from the mtn.
