Go Pro Mounting?

So I was wondering what the best way to mount this is. When I attach it to my helmet it is loose unless I tie it inside my helmet. Is there a better way to do it? What about the chest mount? Or do the sticky pads work well (would it stay on in a crash)?

do you have air vents in your helmet? if so, use the teather strap. if not then use the sticky pads, they stay on even when you fall

i have a go-pro and i moved my adhesive mount around after it was fully stuck so i think it lost some of its sickyness but thank god when it popped off i was in the lodge and not on the mountain with the go-pro on it. so what im trying to say is if u r going to use the adhesive on ut helmet make sure you done take it off and stick it back on after you have already done it once it is a risk that it might loose its stickiness and fall off while skiing.

Okay thanks. Yes, i have air vents but when I use the strap it seems to move around a more. Do you tie the strap on the inside of your helmet?

i just used the sticky mounts, be sure to degrease your helmet first!

i've used acetone, not the smartest thing i ever done cuz it dissolves the plastic shell...
but anyways i used very little on a cloth so luckily i only removed the first layer of clear varnish, thereby creating a very clean underground for my patch... and for as far as i can tell its bombproof !!

some things that were mentioned in the manual; the 3M sticky patches should be applied in roomtemperature, so make sure both your patch and helmet are at roomtemp. and it should "dry" for about 12h before its at full strength, and as mentioned above, make sure you start off with a superclean underground !

When I put the tether straps on my helmet it seems like I can't get it tight enough. I have been going through the vents and just tying it inside the helmet. Am I doing something wrong?

put them through the vents then up the vent on the opposite side, and then pop the tabs on the strap open and feed the strap up through there. the straps will cross inside the helmet and you might feel that when its on your head, but if you feed the straps up through the opposite side's tabs, tug on the straps out to the sides with the tabs open, then lock the tabs, the thing is on there about as solid as with the adhesive mount. that method works well on my brother's and my bern helmets, but doesnt work as well on my giro g9 due to the spacing of the vents. i went for the adhesive mount on my g9. the adhesive mount seems pretty rock solid on my helmet too.
