yo guys i just wanted to try this
have any of you guys tried it?
it looks like a cool idea
just take a comp. power supply and cross the green and black wire to turn it on and wire it all into the amp its pre straight forward but i just wanted to get some feed back first

Not a good idea unless you know exactly what you're doing. Either way, there are cheaper and better alternatives.

Why would you do this? To plug it in to a wall? You know that your amp in your car runs at 12-14.4V and your house runs at 120V right? Expect problems.

A PC power supply outputs at 12v, at least on one of the rails. The other one is 5v, so you'd never have to worry about putting too much voltage to it. I still wouldn't recommend it though.
