I buy my poles at second hand stores and cut them down and custom paint. total cost is about 20$ for poles and paint, depending on how much paint you buy. plus one can of spray paint lasts for tonnes of poles. good luck bump.

Hey thanks guys.

I believe i am 5'7 or 8. Probably using 1m or 105 poles? But i like the cutting down the poles idea. is there anything i can use to help me as a guide for the whole process?

For 5'7", you need 47" or 120cm poles. A bit shorter for park if you'd like, but I go normal length for all mountain useability.

Yes, I'm trying hard... haha

well i have regular poles. just looking more into the super short ones that steezy park riders use. =P and btw i might buy those shades.

try the goodwill and salvation army. this fall there were nearly a dozen sweet old retro rossi and k2 poles and i was gonna go scoop up a few and swap the grips off my scotts when they broke. well they broke and i went back to the salvation army and ALL of the poles got cleaned out. so if you find cheap poles buy'em up

this shows how to do it, just go with whatever feels comfortable or better yet, go to a ski shop and have them show you what size poles and get some used that are longer or the same height and cut them down. (see tech talk)

Yeah, that tech talk think is the way to go if you're on a tight budget. Just get any used cheap set o poles and make em your own.

Shades still available btw. haha ;D
