so i live in a small town in CT and my local resort if you want to call it that has a horrible park... a couple of my friends and i are wondering what i should do to get them to help us out and get the park up and running!

if they have suggestion cards, some places do, fill them all out saying you want a park this is what me and my friends did and we do have a park now but also find out who the resort manager is and write him a letter including the reasons why you personally would like a park and why a park would be beneficial to the mtn as a whole

thanks man.. they have been telling us that they are gonna get us new features every year but they dont its starting to get annying.. the said they where going to use our "park pass" money to but new features they raids at least 5000 dollars and turns out it all went to a new high speed lift for the racers...it doesnt even allow you to get to the park...gay huh.

that blows..is that the only close resort??if theres a better resort somewhere thats always an option.

if not just ask around and get support from freinds to get new features

just take the trip to Sundown - Jarrod and crew ALWAYS put together a sick park. It sucks that they took the park pass money and got something for the racers, but lets face it...Southington has a racer focus, while Sundown has the park focus.

Now, if you already have a pass to Southington, well that sucks, you might have to suck it up and get creative. Try and find out who runs the park and give them suggestions on what to build, and hopefully they'll listen. Then, next season, if things don't get better, just head up to Sundown - it's only like 45 min away from Southington.

The thing is i live in southington lol so it sucks. but what ever ill just ride to have fun and progress on what i got.

what you could do is put together a well designed presentation on how a decent park could bring more income than expenses to the mountain and show it to whoever you can talk to. give them ideas and it might work out... good luck!

yeah if they have suggestion cards, suggest the FUCK out of getting a park, maybe write letters, but if they don't pull through like it sounds like they haven't over the past few years then i'd just head to Sundown to shred. good luck!

just build your own park on a hillside somewhere. set up some natural jibs, they're basically free and pretty easy to put together you just need some nice trees. build some booters. etc.

either that or get all your freinds and everyone you know to write multiple letters under different alias's about what improvements the park needs. It suprises me that they even have a "park pass" if theyre some shitty little hill down it CT with a shitty little park. I ski sunday river/sugarloaf and they dont have park specific passes but they've usually got a real nice setup come mid-winter as far as jumps go and they've usually got some nice rail features all season long.

write the manager a letter and get a bunch of people who ride their to agree with you, show the guy that he's losing business to the other resort by not having a good park

make friends/help out the park crew, this is what i did at my home mountain cause the park was so uber shit. it may be hard work and stuff but it nakes skiing the park so much more rewarding and can get features the way you like it.
