What is the difference between the ContourHD and the go pro HD

i'm pretty new to filming and have been looking at these 2 cams for my Christmas gifts. What are the pros and cons of them and which one do you guys like better.

contour is quite a bit smaller and can fit on your goggles, but does not shoot stills and isn't waterproof or shockproof.
i think price is similar

Some points:
i find the countour lens not as good as the GoPro(its very distorted around the edges)
you can mount the GoPro ANYWHERE! whilst the contour is limited to your goggles
The contour has laser sighting, but it cannot be adjusted as well as the goPro (so why would you need sighting if you cannot adjust properly?
And i find the countour's footage very shakey while the GoPro seems to handle quite well...
