Are you talking about playing online on the same screen?

He's talking about system link, which is technically neither of those two^
How many people can you system link with for MW2? I am too lazy to go check my box.
Pretty sure all you need is a router-hub and then connect your ethernet into the hub from your box and have the other box do the same. At least that's all I do.

we have a system link cable and both versions are exactly the same. We are not trying to play online we are trying to connect two xboxs so we can play 2v2 with 2 people on each tv.

connect the xboxes, then go into multiplayer on each xbox, and then you should all be able to sign in and play

You need a router.
Its a box between the cord so its like XBOX-------------------[==]------------------XBOX.
Im not 100% if the router needs to be plugged into the internet ( ADSL ) line.

i thought all you need to do is hook a ethernet cable between the two systems
Xbox--------------e-cable---------------Xbox
and then both xboxs have to be plugged into seperate tvs (obviously)
i thought it was that simple but maybe not.

you cant system link with more than 1 person per xbox. me and my friends tried it when it first came out. if you want to system link and do more than just 1 vs. 1 you have to have an xbox consel for each additional person. it sucks dick and isnt even worth it

hmmm is that how CoD works? I mean i play it religiously but I have never tried split screen/system link for CoD
Though if I remember correctly on Halo you can system link and have multiple people on one box right?

yeah its the only thing i dont like about cod. they pretty much designed the game so kids just isolate themselves in their basements without any outside communications except for other people playing the game

thats ridiculous, now that I think of it I remember people complaining about that to IF on the forums over there. I can't believe they wouldn't do that its fun to just play private lobby with your buds sometime.
Just last weekend our "clan" came over so we could cheat on GB with all of us in the same room. But we got sick of that so we just played free for all snipers and knifes and had some drinks good night.
