Tahoe or SLC/Targhee

So my old man bought us tickets to SLC for a ski trip to targhee and SLC january 4th, but the snow has been shitty in SLC/Targhee, and its been baller in tahoe where we normally ski.  I have the option to go to mammoth, tahoe, or SLC/Targhee.  I want to go where there is likely to be some pow or a least soft snow, and will ski probly 90% outside of the park, 100% if targhee.  I have never been to SLC, Targhee, or mammoth so that would be cool to see the mtn, but i just dont know.  I have to decide by december 18th or we can;t just transfer the tickets to one of my flights back to school.

SO what would you do if you had to pick now?

Well it just snowed about 3 feet in less than 2 days in utah, so id say were back on the train of having snow.

salt lake i think is getting dumbed on now too they should be go by when you go and you will have a higher chance of catching a storm in slc than in tahoe and if you havnt been to salt lake you should prob just go there

Tahoe and mammoth are getting shit tons of snow as well, so I would say it's a win-win situation in all fairness. Also, it's nearly impossible to forecast what conditions will be like a month in advance. Best of luck man and have fun!!!

both places are getting a lot of snow unlike here in CO so you're probably good with either.  tahoe has had a trend in the past few years to get absolutely puked on around new years (which im hoping happens again this year), so much snow that they've had to close the mtn
