get those skis...they are like cheating in soft snow when landing because you can stmp the piss outa cliffs. but it all depends on how deep the snow is, you will sink alot if its deep, but you can land much more forward than if you were on ur park skis. Seriously get them they will make you sooooo stoked about skiing.
Look up Vetrans review in the review section to see exactly how it skis.
Thanks guys,
yeah im about 5'7'' and weight in at 150, so these sound like what im looking for, also if anybody has some info on how they do on groomers, it be great
(i know they probably wont do well, cause thats not what theyre made for, but jw)

You don't pressure a carve on groomers, but you slide them side to side to stay in control. They go really fast sideways and are easy to stop if needed, groomers are easy if you are a good skier. A lot of skiers on here don't even ski their park skis correctly on groomers anyways (they just tail drag all turns).
They are a ton better than bents are on anything except park and groomers(bents may be "easier" on groomers but ARGs are more fun). Anything but unbreakable ice will be fine(tiny moguls are annoying though, big ones you just slide between at speed).
How much are you spending? DPS Lotus 138s are a better ski.. and the new hybrid(bamboo/carbon/something else) is still light and the best designed pow ski out there. Hybrid is $800, pure carbon is $1200(lighter). http://dpsskis.com/ski/lotus138 . Shortest is a 192, but it will turn as small as possibly ever needed even at your weight.
One more question,
are they rockered in the front and back?
if not can you land em fine in the Backcountry switch?

Where should i mount them if i do? i mainly would use these for pow in trees. . . . .
