Here's my first edit with my gopro hd from saturday. I know I am not good. It was the first day I ever slid rails. It was the first day so I couldnt get the speed quite right yet for my spins and I only spent a little bit of the day in the park since the lift was down for a while. I have no prior editing experience, though I realized that I should have added some music to it. Following the video are some notes I have after using the gopro.
If that didn't work then, <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YShcjDJ6Y-8&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YShcjDJ6Y-8&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
And if that still didn't work then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YShcjDJ6Y-8
Notes about Gopro: -It is very very hard to hear the beeps of turning the camera on and off at the top or bottom of run. In the middle of it it's not too bad because less people, etc...
-Turning it on with gloves on will need some practice
-Hitting the record button with gloves on is easiar but the beeps are very faint so you might not be sure if you are recording or not
-you need to tuck the straps in for the vented helmet mount or else they will flap in the wind
-if you hold the power on button for a lil too long then you will enter photo mode
-besides for all that it is relatively easy to use. just requires about the first half day to get used to it
-if you take a big spill then the camera might rotate downwards causing later footage to be looking way too far down. Hence in my edit theres a point where you can see the front of my helmet in the shot however i did not include the spill that caused it in the edit
-i used the camera for the entire day turning it off whenever i was not filming and i still had 4 full bars of battery at the end of the day and i skied from 830-2 taking minimal breaks.
-watch out for gapers on the lifts closing the bar down on the camera
-overall GREAT investment
