i would say mike is hands down the most interesting athlete of this generation. his obvious emotional vulnerabilities combined with the brutal honesty, rather extensive vocabulary and seeming manic depressive states make him an amazingly captivating individual. there's an interesting documentary on youtube about his early days as a boxer. i forget what its called but its a good one.
To be honest, at the height of his talent, when Mike was the very best, you could put him up there with the greatest fighters ever. I can't think of any fighter in the past who matched his punching power, combined with the amount of speed he had as a heavyweight you can argue that he could hang with Ali. On top of all of that, he was fucking terrifying. Hands down the scariest human being to ever step in the ring.
I totally forgot how blazing fast Tyson was. Go to like 1:30 and see how quick he is throwing massive punches.
What the hell happened to all the fast and powerful heavyweights? Watching a heavyweight fight now is such a fucking joke, they are just so slow and lumber around. They don't even seem that strong because they have strength, but no speed behind the punches.
