I never really used poles. I think they're just a hastle. Theres no point in doing turning in the park haha. And to help yourself move along, I just skate

Poles are part of skiing, just like i have my skis and bindings i have my poles. I mean yeah you might fall on your poles and get stabbed or it might take longer to land a new box/rail trick but to me thats all just part of skiing and why would i want to take the easy way out? "If you can't land the trick with poles, you can't land the trick."

If i ski pow without poles i feel like i dont know what to do with my hands, and they look better in the park in MY opinion, but i also use just short poles

i just find that its easier to balance with poles in my hands. less dramatic hand flailing is needed when you can twitch your poles in the air.

When I feel like it, I drop them. I usually can never take a smile off my face when I'm skiing without poles cause you just become carefree and have fun. No poles or poles skiing is fun, who cares?
