i seriously saw like 5 ppl at my local resort wearin saga that snowboard... i know it doesnt really matter but like thats when u know gear is played out...

My snowboarding buddy got a level 1 jiberish crew after checking out refresh. He has always been a fan of free-skiing movies and culture (our crew on the slopes is basically him, maybe 1 other boarder and 5 skiers). I bring up this example cause I could really give 2 shits if he wears skier stuff.

STOP CLAIMING YOU WEAR BURTON AND SAYING IT'S THE SAME THING


Burton's called the Evil B for a reason.. it's a corporation that's sapping the life and creativity out of winter sports.. And how can any of you want to wear their shit when they have ad campaigns against skiers, publicity stunts promoting boarders poaching on ski-only resorts, and sure they make some nice shit but only if you want to pay out the ass for it..

I don't care if boarders wear ski brands and I personally wear a Bonfire suit, made by Salomon which is another large company, but at least they seem to actually care about wintersports and not just profit.

Just stop supporting Burton they're sucking all that's good out of boarding..

I've seen plenty of skiers wearing snowboard stuff. Saw a skier rockin a tech9 jacket at ms. A shitload of skiers wearing burton. I actually have seen far more skiers rocking snowbord companies than the other way around.

I don't really know what your point was by this. Dumb thread?

Burton pumps several million dollars into the industry each year. without Burton snowboarding would have died nearly as soon as it began, and your freestyle skiing would have never existed.
Burton sponsors a massive fucking team, pays for huge competitions and team trips, and brings more notoriety to the sport than any other company in the industry. without Burton snowboarding, and even freestyle skiing, would be almost completely out of the public eye.
and how can you say buying burton outerwear is "paying out the ass" why dont you look at the price of a SAGA, Oakley, Orage, aeryx, or any other "super-core", "underground" "skiiers only" outerwear setup, and then compare it to the full price of a Burton suit. Burton probably wins that comparison 80%-90% of the time. Burton brings creativity to the snowboard and ski industry in both their hardgood AND softgood lines. they have a unique and effective marketing strategy, and very appealing products. they create competition in the industry, and basically, do nothing but fucking good.

dont bite the hand that feeds you, and stop being so fucking ignant. hating Burton does not make you cool.

Shut the fuck up, it's just outerwear. It shows that they are getting some publicity which is a good thing for smaller companies that aren't called Oakley, Helly Hansen, Spyder, or FourSquare.

I usually see a snowboarder with the red and white gangster jacket at my resort, it looks so stupid because of the flap in the back and the length. But I have a burton jacket so im not against crossing brands.

burton has been creating many many flagship stores(stores that burton owns) so that they don't have to sell thei goods wholesale to shops, now they can just skip wholesale and make more money for themselves, all while taking away business of shops that have been supporting burton for over a decade

Wait a second a company is trying to make money!? Ever bought nikes? They have flag ship shops.... So do a shit load of other companies... who really gives a fuck if you don't like it, don't buy it, i don't personally like burton that much but i really don't care what they do... also the prices are the same at the burton stores as they are at most local shops they have set prices for most of there products, there for leaving it up to the consumer to pick the shop... Also if you think a few burton stores are taking away business from local shops you might wanna check out the internet...
