Rode my afterbangs for two days this weekend. I hiked rails for about a total of 4-5 hours over the weekend so I ended up hitting rails many times. I absolutely love them and they are a great rail ski.
What I like about them
-super poppy for getting onto rails. (they seem to just launch you onto rails its great)
-they absolutely kill rails. (so easy to grip rails and have alot of control on them)
-not heavy when popping onto rails
-super flexy and fun for nollies and playing around
-they ride all mountain really well and even held their own in some backcountry powder
-riding switch is very easy
-bases hardly marked after riding very hard on rails
What I don't like (hardly anything)
-Landing switch is really difficult, at least at first. The super flex results in me landing way frontseat when I land switch and its frustrating. I really need to work on landing switch on them. It will just take some time to get used to. (this probably has to do with that I already land leaning forward when I land switch and I just need to get out of the habit) But this really frustrated me when I was doing frontside 270s out.
-I can't count topsheet chipping as a legitimate problem because it is natural and only cosmetic.
Overall-9.5-10
It is pretty much a ten out of ten, but my lack of ability landing switch on them made me mad, so basically the .5 is taken off just because of my lack of experience riding a really flexy ski. I was really surprised at how well they rode on all mountain and in some backcountry powder. They definitely hold their own and cannot be labeled as a strictly park ski, although their best use is on rails.
