Modifying a helmet

so i found my brothers old hardhat in his old room and decided it might make a sick helmet. i started the conversion but any steps i take from now on requires the possible destruction of my old helmet, what does NS think? (plastic tabs would be gone after completion)

well thanks for the criticism i guess

its completely gutted so theres nothing but plastic. id be filling it with the foam inside crap from another helmet. so its hardly a hardhat anymore

hard hats are not that great, i did the same thing, worked about 6 hours to paint it (mad detail) and clear coats. and in the end it didnt fit  at all with like 1000 hats and not its just sitting in my room. All and all its just safer and easier to buy a sandbox.

yeah i just kinda thought of that. it fits well as a gutted hard hatit wont fit as a a hard hat with the actual helmet shit in it. i might go for a capix skatecap, i know they arent snow helmets but i see lots of people using skate helmets so that pro wont be the end of the world
