A little while ago I got my new Fortitude Lincoln's but wasn't able to try them out. Today was opening day at my local mountain and man was it a good one. First let me start off by just straight up telling you that I adore these skis. They have the flex of an Invader but still maintain to have lots of pop. I had been riding on Invaders for two years and loved them, but now I found a ski that I think has a much nicer design, and has a much nicer ride. To test out the flexibility I started doing some nosebutters here and there. Doing butters they felt exactly the same as an Invader. One thing I notice was that when you are popping back out of your butter, the Lincoln's have a better snap to them to pop. The pop of this ski is truely amazing. When I started to 270 onto a street style setup I was really noticing how much easier it was than before. If any of you guys liked Invaders but wanted something a little more, this is definitaly the ski for you.
The ski has a price mark of $595 but you can basically compare this to any Moment ski. Fortitude Skis are handmade in their shop in Golden, CO. One thing I don't like about some companies is how the people who run it are not all that nice. The owner of Fortitude, Nick Whittemore, is a super nice guy. He is willing to talk with you to make sure you are ordering what you want. Overall, the price of $595 is not all that bad for a pair of really nice ski's made within the US, with a core roots company.
*sparknotes* I highly recommend the Fortitude Lincoln ski to anyone looking for a flexy, but still poppy ski.
