It seems everytime I try to call a local store they NEVER answer the phone.  It just rings and rings.  This happens to me in Idaho and happened to me while living in Denver also.  Is it just me or does other people have this problem?  Then when you go into a store, they never ask to halp you.  WTF.  Just seems like poor CS.

Best Buy is hit or miss. I've had them answer the phone right away, other times I've hung up because I got tired waiting for them to call. It also seems that they never have the dvd's I'm looking for.

best buy blows.  the stores i used to go to nobody ever helps you when you need help.  they just stand around in groups and talk to each other.  they also once made me have a broken tv for a month before actually doing something about it and let me trade it in.  i refuse to ever shop there anymore, it sucks that  circuit city went out of business

Yea I work at bestbuy and I know why.... Each store has only one store operator it's fucking retarded. It's like on person answering EVERY SINGLE call that comes into the store. so yea that's why.

i actually work at best buy and part of the reason no one answers the phone is because only one person is tending it while trying to do other shit, trust me i hate trying to call into work its hit or miss getting em, and were pretty much taught to ear fuck you with do you need any help! luckly i stand up front and don;t have to deal with all the shit

they dont pick up here either. its really hit or mess. i don't know how a company can go on like thta though, if employees cannot call in and report something ya know?

I boycott Best Buy unless I am taking advantage of them though. They are a piece of shit retailer.

thats just how any place is now. every employee is trained to look at the entrance and ask every customer that walks in if they need help.

then they need to initiate a sale, once they think they have a sale on their hands they have to try and insert a "buy the extended plan from best buy" (or staples, office max, whatever) a minimum of at least 2 times.

Then...the cashier is obligated still to run through the whole cost of the plan if yuo were to purchase it....just for you to consider it. and they go over the cost and make sure to high light the fact you can come back within 15 days and get this thing still yada yada.

The extended plans are the only bonuses or commission they get, and they get paid shit for them.

the company takes advantage of the customer, and their employees.

Its no wonder everyone would rather shop at newegg.com

Hey learn to fuckin read moron.

I said the only commission they do get is from extended warranties. They are not paid commission of any sort what so ever on product sold. They make spiffs, bonuses, commission, whatever you wanna fuckin call it on extended warranty plans sold.

I was a fucking manager at a nation wide electronics store. I think I know how it goes down, until then.

They never answer here either. In the bangor or portland one in Maine i've let the phone ring for like minutes and no answer. I also went in there twice to buy a new laptop and ended up leaving after waiting 20 minutes for someone to come grab one for me. as for those cables they charge so much for, the employees get those for like 2 dollars. they fuck you over. Also, if they come hook up your entertainment center or something they have like a specific routine to go though and if they plug in even one more cable than they need to they charge you an extra 100 bucks. i work for a cleaning company that is hired out by best buy and my friend works at one and I have heard many of these stories. I've also seen someone who works in the back room of a best buy literally throwing laptops onto a pallet to go put out for sale. really changed my perspective of the store.

 im tryin to buy a tv in there and i tell them i dont want to set up the hd right now ( ton of extra $ for that shit)  the guy keeps asking and after like the 5th time i just walk away.  what a bunch of assholes over there.

Nah best buy hires like a motherfucker around xmas. cuz that place gets torn the fuck apart daily. i used to have friends who worked their and they said it would take hours to get shit back to the way it should be at the end of the day. restocking, reorganizing shit that gets moved around by people who cant put things back where they found them, etc.

the best buys in my area are nothing but legit. sure the geeksquad is just a bunch of high school nerds. but overall the store is pretty good imo..

bestbuy corporate is also in town so IDK if these store go balls to the wall everyday or something, but ive always been pleased. sooooooooooooooooo much more legit than "suckasscity"

they also run one of the best shows ive ever seen on black friday.
