Ski sizes?

Ok so I know you guys are gonna make fun of me and stuff but i haven't skied in like 3 years and don't have skis that fit anymore(I didn't ski often then either). I'm going tomorrow and want to get in to it, but won't have my own skis for awhile. My friends dad has skis that fit my foot but they are 170 cm tall and I'm 171 cm tall. Should I just cough up the $20 and rent some shorter ones, or go with the semi tall ones?

Go with big skis from the start man. It'll be harder to adjust at first, but you get so much more stability with longer skis under your foot. Ski size once you get over 172ish is all preference anyway, unless you're like 6'2" or something.
