Yes, he spelled Candide wrong, and didn't know who he was, but honestly, he did a pretty good job of explaining himself.
He found it and thought it was sick and decided to post it for us to see. He got attacked by everyone saying how 16 year olds are little shits that don't know anything about freestyle skiing and therefore don't care about it.
How are you going to say that a kid who's skied his whole life and loves it, is a dumb fuck because he doesn't watch a lot of ski movies, or read the magazines?
It's the kids like that who really drive our sport, the ones who ski because the love it not because they have to or because they can look cool.
It's easy to get caught up in the now of freestyle skiing because that's what you read about daily on this site.
You act like it's a crime to be 16 years old, you were that age too. Instead of hating kids so much they give up, educate them. There's no use calling people who don't know a lot about the sport, dumb fucks.
And how is a 16 year old kid supposed to find out about the history of freestyle skiing if no one teaches it to him. I googled "History of freestyle skiing" and found mogul comps.
It's YOUR fault that kids don't know about the history not theirs. So don't hate, educate.
Same here, I respect what he's saying, because it is true, kids are growing up watching edits online of the skiers everyone talks about in the forums and on the hill. Most of them don't even think about how their beloved sport came to how it is today, and Candide was a massive part of that and mad respect to him. He's a crazily good all round skier, but due to the injuries that occured as a result of killing it so damn hard, he has been in the shadows recently. I'm 16 and I try be aware of everything our sport is, and has been, it's just another influence to add to the style obsessed ski world we ride in everyday.
