i would have to say no

most of my skis she just doesn't comment, when i had hellbents she was terrified, and when i got bg's she loved them, otherwise she doesn't express her distaste

10 more solid days of pressing, Scott and I need to sleep every 4 days. This weekend we should get a total of 28 skis pressed, most to be shipped monday. We had a few from this mornings pressing set that I didnt have time to get into the hot box before 6pm, our mandatory ship out time (we load them on the fedex truck thats come to know to wait for us). We're going to get some sleep tonight, both of us are on a total of less than 20 hours combined since Saturday. Extra leftovers are shipping tomorrow, then the rest of the J-mo's on Monday... plus a few other models.

I drilled into my 333's for shits and giggles before i sent them back.

it was like cutting through warm butter. the drill just fell through, hardly any pressure. it was pretty pathetic. glad i sent them back

and the shop techs at my shop were literally laughing at the inconsistency of the shape and rocker.
glad to know your shop techs liked them

As a cabinetry addict, I have no idea what he's talking about with smoking wood = quality.  I can't think of any wood I've ever worked with that didn't smoke when it got warm on the drill press.  To be quite honest, bamboo isn't even an awesome wood to work with (sure does make an awesome choice for the core of a ski though).  ON3P does make amazing skis of superior quality, but this just sounds like a ridiculous reason to assume so.

Ability to drill holes and use measuring tape doesn't mean he knows jack about wood, and I hope he doesn't say things like that to people who are knowledgeable and new to seeing ON3P.  I for one wouldn't take his opinion seriously.  My 2 cents.

Haha, what?  This smells good, obviously "good wood".  If my shop supervisor caught me smelling the wood to determine quality, I think I would lose my pass for the safety of others. :)
