Few caylors, few cease and desist, few jeronimos all going out today. Much larger shipment of stuff going out tomorrow and we should have a ton of skis going out this week. Day's been a bit strange as I am dealing with some other, more unfortunate business stuff today...so might as well just get it out there since it is what it is and will get out there soon enough.
Anyway....for both personal and business reasons, of which I am not going to get into (so don't ask, because neither of us are going to discuss them), Sam and I have mutually agreed that it best that his position here as Production Manager come to an end as of today, so he will no longer be involved in the manufacturing side of ON3P. Sam will continue to work with ON3P, though. While not official yet, he will become our PNW rep and continue to function as our Team Manager.
The move, in the long run, will benefit ON3P's productivity as well as Sam's happiness. Rowen has been promoted to our new Production Manager, which is very much deserved.
I am definitely pretty bummed, but that is the way things go sometimes and things need to keep moving forward.
The bad is, of course, is we are now down to two people on the manufacturing side. Those who have been privy to everything over the last few months, though, already know that a two man shop has been the way things have been for a large portion of the time, and Rowen and I are confident we can keep up the pace, especially now that we are out-sourcing some of our prep work, including all of our edge prep/sand blasting (THANK GOD for that, BTW). We are in the final sprint right now to finish and both of us cannot wait to get back to a more normal, 7-days a week, 12-hour a day work schedule ;).
It means that at some point, we are going to add a third. It is a full time, salaried position, but a very demanding one. We have some great, selfless friends who are coming in right now to help wax skis, box and label skis, etc, all stuff that. Personally, I don't know if many people could handle being through into the mix right now...the position and current work schedule is extremely demanding. So Rowen and I might just finish up mostly on our own....But we do want to add someone, so that will happen at some point.
Anyway, so that is that. Business is business and hopefully people can just respect that and let us get back to work.
As for skis, 181cm JMO, 191cm C+D, 181cm Caylor, rockered 181cm Blue steeles, and even a handful of 191cm Caylors should all be shipped this week. 181cm wren test press as soon as I can.
