after i used my skis last year i had to re-waz them because of all the dirt and crap on them. I waxed them with a liquid wax then you rub in to the base. After i let it sit it turned all white so i scraped it off but some around the brake wont come off. Is this a problem? Will it effect the way i ski?
no i doubt it will affect the way you ski. If you really want to get it clean though get someone to do a purge wax on them. (i assume you don't have your own waxing kit) This is where you hot wax the ski with some soft wax like (yellow) and then scrape the wax when its still warm. Do this a few times and your bases will be clean.
yes you can get all temperature wax i basically onlt ever use red/pink wax which is good from like 0- -9 Celsius. Then i have some yellow wax for base cleaning and warn days (above freezing). If your interested in base care get yourself a starter waxing kit and you will never look back.
