THIS ISN'T HEALTH INSURANCE. This is a supplimental insurance dedicated to accident related incidents. This will only cover accidents, things that aren't supposed to happen.
Just think about it for two seconds. Anyone insured by a private company, a company that is hundreds of times bigger than this one, is paying what? $100 a month. How could a tiny company dedicated to accident-prone sports give such a great rate unless if has some limitations? It's a good idea, but to be honest, my supplimental insurance tied into Humana is cheaper than this, and offers better coverage. Do some research before you jump on the bandwagon.
Hey, I work for XSI . Yes, Conseco is our underwriter. They are one of the largest insurance companies out there and the XSI product is exclusive to us. Our product is similar to AFLAC but ½ the price, better benefits and we don’t have all the exclusions that other insurance companies have.
XSI is NOT meant to be a replacement to a major plan and works best in conjunction with one. With XSI it help will cover the co pays and deductibles.
Say for instance you break your arm and cut your head open on a box. You’d get $300 for the ER, $100 for Xray, $150 for sling, $1200 for broken arm and $300 for the cut. Plus you’d get $30 towards each follow up visit. That’s a minimum of $2050 paid directly to you to cover the co pays or the injury. If you have a $500 deductable on your major plan, you’d actually pocket $1500 for that injury to make up for lost time at work , pain and suffering, etc.
Tons of people are not able to get covered because of past injuries or health reasons. I pay nearly $200 a month and I’m healthy and I’ve had a few minor injuries. Sure you can get Lloyds of London and pay over $500 a month if you’re ballin but for most that’s not an option. But when the guy that’s making enough to pay rent, get a pass and rides 100 days a year having some coverage is better than none at all.
We will soon be offering an "a la cart plan" that offers more coverage depending on your needs that will cover major injuries and surgeries. The plan won’t break the bank either.
Another thing about XSI is there is no maximum or rate increase if you get hurt. You can use it as much as possible if you keep jacking yourself on a regular basis.
Also with XSI you are covered 24/7, if you slip on ice on street and hurt yourself, you are covered.
