Skiing Park Not The Same?

I used to ski park alot. like hike all day and try to get real good at rails and jumps. But now that iam older and i have skied real good west coast lines and snow a bunch, i just hate that park scene, just not the same, i hate hiking and wasting time on a bunch of park shit, its weird, can anyone relate? like you use to be a park fiend but now you just appreciate the skiings that use to be alot more, such as powder, pillows, trees and lines. thoughts if you can relate

I think if I moved back out west, that is the direction I would go.  The skiing out there like Jackson and Big Sky is just to fucking unbelievable to pass up for park... idk

I appreciate both. I'd give up any park day for a foot of pow, but I can still ride a 10+ hour day hittin park, urban, and yard setups and love every minute

jea I agree with that.  Any day there's powder I would rather ski pow mostly but am perfectly fine with skiing park on non-pow days.

i used to be the biggest park rat a few seasons ago. now i've gotten older and i've gotten more into steeps/pow and i love it way more. it wasn't that i hate skiing park or anything, i like park i think its a lot of fun. but i hate the direction park skiing is headed right now. and thats what got me out of park. park is fun, but steeps/pow is amazing.

i guess ive never skiied in legit powder, or lines, but i did a few things at keystone last year and just wanted go back to the park the whole time. you have to work so hard to find something cool to do.

both are fun, if theres pow ill ski it, but even at whistler id rather ski park then ski less than par lines, thats just me though

Ya i can relate. First off I suck in the park so unless i can find something fun that i can actually do I would rather ski pow pow anyday.

i am the same. ever since i started hiking in the backcountry i figured there was no reason to ski the park. its more fun to huck cliffs and play in natures park.. not some man made thing.

Yea Nels I agree. I use to be the a huge East Coast park rat. Trying to progress in rails and jumps everyday, hiking each box/rail and hiking every jump just to learn new tricks. Tough after I headed out west for six years straight i hated the whole park rate scene.... I mean I love flowing through the park and getting shots, I just hate wasting my time on a small little box or east coast jump when I can bump to music slaying powder and pillow lines, so much better at such a degree its unreal, still fun to flow through that park though when you have to deal with it on east coast, just not nearly as fun
