Need Some Help With A Box

So today, my friends and I were hitting a box that we made. Its just plywood with 2x4's inside for support and plexiglass covering the time. After a while, the plexiglass started to crack. Then my friend who snowboards pretty much ate shit hard on it and chipped a huge section out of the plexiglass. I'm kind of wondering if there is any better material to use on the top, or a different technique to it. Not sure, just looking for some ideas and help. +K as well.

use pvc. either a bunch of 2-3 inch pipes across, or a 1 inch pipe on each side as coping. I had the same problem with my box and after adding the coping, I dont even touch the topsheet when I slide and its slippery as hell

Did you use any wax on the pvc or ice it? I can't see it being slippery with straight up PVC.

Build a Jib or search bar.  Sorry but your response bugs me.  If you go to photos or vids or threads you will find tons on PVC.  Do you honestly think that all these people would be building PVC set ups if they didn't slide well?  Seriously!

I have pvc as coping and i use Windex to make it slippery. It works well

you would know if you had searched a bit harder before making this thread or joined build a jib.
he wasnt being a dick at all, he didnt say anything mean to you, its just that this is an incredibly repetitive thread topic, its always coming up
its just annoying to see it every day i guess

but for your question, pvc doesnt need anything added to it.
drill 3-5 pvc 1&1/2 inch pvc's together on a sizeable plank of wood, support it, make a in ramp and lip, your golden.

how do you put the copings to the box? i was thinking of making the frame of coping first then cutting the poly and under sheet of ply wood to size, lay the coping on the floor and lay the poly down in between the coping with the wood on top then cut angle iron the size of the with and tac weld the angle iron to the coping,so when you flip every thing over the coping and poly should be level. is there a better way of attaching coping the side ??????? i just spent the last 2 hours serching this

use PVC pipe it slides really well and it cheap. use the 1.5 inch pipes and put like 2 down for a rial and 4 for a box

HDPE or puckboard are the materials you find on professional boxes around your resort.

PVC is cheaper, easier to find and slides best in summer, but can sometimes crack in cold conditions....
whereas HDPE or puckboard never cracks, it chips sometimes, but that can be resovled with metal bars on the side, like you find on professional boxes...
(make sure if you add bars that the HDPE sticks out a little....)
