09/10 Suspects Broken Already!

Buddy of mine just blew out the edge on his Suspect completely. Salomon said they would warranty it at least, but really? Only about 8 days on them...

stop hatin on the suspects. i have 9/10. i have ridden them a good 15 days this year since its preseason i have hit mainly rails and i have hit tons of rocks. there holding up fine. dont worry. there a great ski

no hate, but this is EXACTLY what happened last year - a few randomly showed up to be breaking, then before you know it there were tons of them. I'm hoping it was just a fluke as I personally like the ski, but they just aren't reliable right now.

Heel piece pulling out isnt always because of the ski. People couldve drilled the holes to far, to wide, etc.

thats a bit of a dissapointment i though they would have improved their skis this year the "edge armour" is almost laughable, but alteast they are true to their warranty.

yeah they had durable cap skis...which skied like crap!   Now with this whole new sidewall thing... they ski better but durability is gone.

The dumonts should be fine, they're still cap right?

Too add to the suspect pullout,
There is now about 15 cracks in the edge of on ski and about an inch of ski missing,  AFTER TWO WEEKS!    It's sad to see salmon didn't fix anything.

haha dude for all you know a 450 pounder could have been riding these... or not.

Suspects have always had issues with durability, but people still continue to buy them. My question is... Why? I dont understand it. I have seen dozens of threads like this one and it's starting to piss me off. If you go out and buy these skis that are KNOWN to break and be shitty, don't come on NS crying about how they broke and are shitty. Don't get me wrong, I feel for you and your purchase, but enough is enough. Good luck with your next pair...

lol yeah i think you misunderstood my coment i didn't buy suspects i got walls but my previous ski were the thrusters wich i enjoyed i'm just very happy i don't have that ski right now....

i dont think the did make any changes between this year and last year... R&D blew all there budget money on edge armour and ofter 1 season it showed that it was a failed design but they had to run the ski 1 more year before they had the budget money to revamp the ski entirely.
my gues is that this years will fall appart just like last year but NEXT year i expect to see an intirely new ski, possibly even a name change but for starters i bet they buy there edges from a dif supplyer and get thick 2.5mm ones as well as expiriment with new epoxys since clearly this shit there using isnt holding the ski together

i was talking to some salomon rep and he said all the issues from last year where eliminated but i guess that was false... good thing too; i was gonna get some suspects but ended choosing chronics and am soo happy i did.
