Best knee brace for skiing?

So, i had ACL reconstructive surgery about 5 months ago and i am on the verge of being able to ski again.. I can't not wait to ski, but i want to make sure i have a brace to protect all the work i have done in rehab, does anybody have any recommendations for the best brands or designs of braces? My insurance will cover the brace 100% so money is not an object.. My buddy had a CTi brace that he like alot but my therapist has be recommending the don joy because you can get them with a shortened shin piece specifically designed for skiing. Anybody have any thoughts?

don joy, foot joy, something like that. My mom had an ACL surgery and thats what doctor stone suggested.

I currently have a don joy and really don't like it. It's uncomfortable and slides down my leg/always needs to be adjusted. I'm in the process of getting a cti brace right now. Hopefully it will be much better.

I have two CTi2's, one for each knee. My ortho got me the waterproof ones so I can wear them wakeboarding.

Truthfully the best knee brace is the one designed for you knees. Get something custom fit, nothing off the shelf.

I rock the asterisk cell.

I like it alot!!  it doesn't add confidence, but i know it will help if i have a fucked up twisting fall my knee will at least have a better chance of not gettin F'ed in the A.

I have a custom-fit donjoy that has been working really well for me the past 9 months or so. I don't have any experience with any other brands, but this has made it possible for me to keep skiing and biking, which is pretty cool. Just get something custom fit for your knee and you should be good to go.

Cti2 is by far the best knee brace you can get. Your Dr. will mold them to fit perfectly. I have a pair and you can't even notice them. Super light weight and you can customise them too. If you are looking for cheaper braces go with Asterik knee braces, I also have a pair of those and they fit and work almost just as well as the Cti2' and they are half the price (pick up a pair of Asteriks at your local motorcycle dealer)...If you have insurance they will most likely help you out with your Ctis as well...but you will still probably pay $400 for each leg....

Asterisk is nice because it doesn't slide.  Lot of NFL guys use 'em.  My buddy tore his ACL twice and has to wear one... the one that was prescribed to him kept slipping so he duct taped it to his leg... it was a mess.  The Asterisk hasn't caused a problem at all

can't speak about the don joys but I can speak for the CTI from a wakboarding perspective. Several legit wakeboarder I know seem prefer them over the don joy.
