Delaming.

is there anyway possible to stop/ prevent delaming.

and what should be done if skis do delam?

you could try fillingg the cracks with marine grade epoxy.

just curious, did your chronics that you just bought already delam? if so, how is that even possible?

and i think epoxy may work, but dont listen to me, its just a guess...

you can take a razor blade and run it down the edge of where the topsheet and sidewalls meet at a 45angle. it helps with topsheet chipping that can turn into a delam.... or if its the tips/tails then you can rivet them. it might not be pretty but it will stop delaming.

take them to a shop - they might be able to epoxy it, or if necessary rivet it.

nope. i just heard from a few people that line skis have a delaming problem in general.
and im terrified that the chronics i just bought will delam on me. so im just going to try to prevent it or know what to do if it starts to happen.

Did they happen to mention which line skis delam? Cause I haven't seen any complaints from owners of line skis about delams recently, I think that ended awhile ago. My brother has the orange chronics, and they're still good, nothing wrong with them whatsoever.

last years chronics had some problems, but this years are all good.

my cousin had a pair of 09 lines that delamed after one season.
i ordered the 09' chronics, the ones with the green and black base.
so thats why im a little worried ha.

yeah, those had some issues - but I know people who worked them over and didn't have any problems either - it was kinda just luck of the draw. The key is, if you see any sign of a delam start to either shave it off cleanly or epoxy it, or if it's starting at the tips/tail get them riveted or get "bumpers" put on the tips/tails.
