the longest encounter i had with a cop was when one pulled up next to me in a parking lot and asked what kind of gas mileage i get in my subaru and then he told me about how he ryno-lined his truck bed and also the underbody of his truck. so random haha.

Weird I just watched this recently.

Sparknotes: Don't talk to the cops, it can't ever improve your position, only harm you later. Also, don't try to be some smartass legal genius. You aren't. Watching three episodes of Matlock doesn't really help.

Cops get suspects to write "apology letters" which then get turned on them in court as written confessions. That's fucked up.

i did read it, i forgot what you said in it.

i'm sticking by my comment though. the exception is cops that are already pissed off and wanna take out their power. you only hear stories on cops being crooked and stuff because nobody is going to come on here and say, "hey guys, i got a warning for speeding today"

could go either way. in small towns the cops will know everyone, and not have too much to do. In cities they'll be busy, and face a hell of a lot more crimes than they do in some tiny town.

Basically if a cop is angry with you about anything (reasonable or not) they will fuck you over in every way they can. Talking to them and trying to reason your way out of things will just get you into more trouble from my experience. You just have to bend over and take it in the ass if thats what they want. Say as little as possible and give yes or no answers.
