literally the FIRST hit one of our pvc pipes chipped in about a 3/4 or 1/2 inch square area right at the front of it. Then, it cracked right in the middle, where the 10 feet and 5 feet connect.
Now theres about an equally sized chip where they connect, and the rail is unhittable.
Probably a total of 7 hits after 3-4 hours spent on the rail and 3 hours piling up snow to make a drop in after the 2 inch snowfall.
not really sure what I'm trying to accomplish here, but pvc cannot be as strong as you guys make it out to be. I bought it from lowes, it was like 1.5 or 1 inch (whatever is recommended in that tutorial)
The rail was sturdy as hell too and theres no way of removing the pvc without taking the entire thing apart.
