Just wondering about size for afterbangs

Hey thinking about getting some afterbangs, will the 177s be the right size for me? I'm 6'1 and 180 pounds. thanks

I am thinking they will be too short. My friend has them in 177 as a rail ski and he is about 5'10 and he would not go shorter cause they are soft.

Yea i'm 6'2 and was wondering the same. Anyone this size rode them? I'm thinkin they might be too short??

They would be okay for rail skis but if you are going to be doing jumps they are going to be too short. In 177 they are at least 1/2in shorter than my t-halls in 176 so at 6'2 they wont feel very stable.

im 5,10 140 and i would not want my afterbangs to be 1 cm shorter cause they are true centre it makes em feel quite short go get some kung fujas or something that come in 180 and somethin

The Afterbangs run short too.  My 177 cm Abangs are about an inch and a half shorter than my 178cm Invaders.

I don't know why the only go up to 177.  A symetrical ski that soft is crap for bigger guys on any real jumps.  I would like to get on a pair to try them out, but if they feel anything like the Anthems, then ya they are too small.

I'm about 6'2", 175lbs and rode em a bit last year, I thought they were pretty fun. I would say the 177 (shortest ski I've been on since '99) is a lot of fun great as a jib ski, not horrible as a jump ski, but I probably wouldn't call it a great all mountain ski.

If you really need to have the Afterbang, you'll be happy on the 177

well my 177 afterbangs are standing beside last years 176 ar6's and are roughly 2 cm shorter than the ar6's, and i still bought them at 6ft and 185lbs, they may be soft, but they should be fun

Allright thanx man. If i bought them they would be a pure park ski. Something to play around on. They seem like they could be fun and they're cheap enough. I might go for the anthems tho just for the extra length.

yeah do everyones abangs seem to run small? my friend just got some that are clearly labeled 177 yet are shorter than 171 invaders...

I just tried the afterbangs this weekend and they were - in all honesty - the most clumpsy and heavy ski I've tried out of alot of K2/Dyna/9th/Scott.

So yeah, unless you like spongy and heavy skis 9thward seems like the funniest skis this year.
