you have to realize this. you cant buy a boot just because you want a specific brand, you need to buy a boot that is best for you. there are a plethora of boots out there that are just as good as fulltilts quality wise. if a fulltilt doesnt fit you right, dont force it. you arent missing out on anything, because they would never be good for you anyways. go to a bootfitter and get what is best for your foot shape

FT would have to make new molds, new molds cost alot of money...it won't happen, thats why other companys make boots for your feet. market share....

i have really wide feet and kryptons fit me very well. you still get the 3 piece design but they're higher volume so they accommodate a slightly bigger foot. maybe try them on

exactly. fulltilts really aren't that much better than any other boot on the market. the thing is, fulltilts are only good if they fit you, just like any other boot. if you buy em and they don't fit you, they're gonna be horrible, regardless of the fact that they're fulltilts.

imo the three piece design of full tilts/flexons and kryptons is hard to beat. if one of those fits then you're in luck because it's really the best

a good bootfitter will charge you out the ass to MAKE them work.

if it doesn't fit, don't buy them. if you want to be like everyone else, take up snowboarding.

Dalbello has a similar design and some of their boots have wider lasts. For example Dalbello Voodoos or Blenders could fit you good. They're 102 mm if my memory serves me right.

maybe get an in-between size like 27.5 for example and blow the soul out a bit or get it heat molded

I have heard that next year a wider shell is coming out from full tilt. Also look into the Ace of Spades boot if you want a wide 3 piece boot.

when i was buying boots EVERYONE was telling me to get full tilts, i tried them on, didnt like them.  I have a very high top of my foot ( dont know what its called) but i tried on a pair of rampages, got the base ground down a little bit and they fit like a dream now. might be something to look into

A good bootfitter doesnt charge you for the boot work if you buy the boots from them.

this has what people like tom wallisch has done...
just cause him and bunch of pros wear them now everyone wants them wether they fit them or not.
if your really that desperate for 3 piece boots there are others than FT out there balbello, rossignol i think has one, nordica, does salomon??. just go see a bootfitter tell him you want a freestyle boot and he will find something you will be most comfortable in. i thought about getting FT and they did fit me... and the bootfitter wanted me to try on some nordicas and they were perfect for my feet they are ridiculously comfortable and i love them.

actually my friend ha them and says they ar dope, and they get rid of shin bang and everything.
but you just basically went up to me and said i only want full tilts because wallisch has them.

actually if a customer is being irrational and is asking for a boot based on hype alone then yes they do.

bootfitters do not charge for work as long as the boots you buy are recomended and will be at least close to fitting a customer's foot.

I'm sure it has been said in this thread. But why do you want fulltilts? If they don't fit then there is no point in buying them. At all. Buy what your bootfitter recommends because it is the best thing for your feet.

i was wondering if people with wide feet could fit into fulltilts.
because i heard they couldnt on ns.
my friend has fulltilts and say they are great and get rid of shin bang - which is the reason i want them.

its cause while i was getting my boots fitted i remember guy next to me just had impossible feet for FT and he was trying to force them in there asking the fitter if there was anything he could do to get in them and it was pretty obvious he was obsessed with those boots.
and shin bangs... i tried couple of days with FT... it doesn't really seem to be the boot itself that gets rid of shin bangs its those intition liners they are dope i got them for my nordicas and they are warm comfortable and i don't get shin bangs. you can get boots as flexible as 3 piece and add one of those liners and itll feel all the same.
so im just saying go to a bootfitter if you really want FT and fitter says its ok you can go for it
if not... he will recommend a good boot and you can add those intuition liners if you want they are like $180 online and you will be comfortable and you will enjoy skiing even more haha.
and finally go to a good fitter..... i went to like just a shop that sells all ski gear and they were like i think you can fit into FT go for it and they didn't really measure me or anything just my feet size.
than i went to professional shop that only sells boots and he measures like width boot shape space between top of ankle and the boots calves size and he put everything into consideration when i bought the boots threw in some custom bootbed it was legit so go to a professional bootfitter who knows what he's doing rather than just trying to sell you their stuff.

Ive had 3 foot surgeries making my right foot abnormally wide, nordicas are the only boots that work. I HATED skiing until I got nordicas, most amazing boots ever

IMO I agree with every one on this tread that says if a boot doesn't fit don't buy it. I like Salomon SPK series, because they are wide enough for my foot, and the booster strap is so big and the Velcro is super strong it acts like a 3rd buckle.

I have wery wide feet and I have fulltilts. First they didnt fit me at all but here in Finland we have this one company who remold skiboots with heating the plastic and wider it by pressure. I bet there is one similiar company where you are.

whoah that's pretty cool but messing with original designs might not be such a great idea....
im not sure... it might mess with flex or other functions of the boots??? if you are comfortable in them i guess its fine

You can stretch and/or grind the plastic of most any boot - some boot shells are thicker than others, some are thinner, some the plastic is so crappy that you can't really do much to it.  The plastic on the Full Tilts is actually pretty nice so it can be stretched very well.  I've definitely had to make wide feet comfortable in FTs.  It can definitely be done.

Tell that to all the racers that come in with E width feet, that expect to easily be put into a 95mm last, 130/150 flex race boot. FTs deliver a flex pattern and feel that cant be replicated. So what if a person has a wide foot. Are you too lazy to do some simple grinds and stretches? Its the bootfitters job to recommend a boot for the person, but it is ultimately their choice as to what boot they want. They just need to understand that it usually isnt a once and done process in terms of the necessary boot work.

I find that it stretches easily, but tends to lose the punch more then other boots do.

I have done some serious punches on some for customers, everything was fine, seemed to be doing well but then they come back in a week or so latter and the boot is back to how it started. Happened to about 50% of the ones I punched, never had the problem with other boots.

I don't know if it is just a little more temp sensitive then others, and if people leave them in an over heated car or house, but I did see quite a few come back before I just stopped stretching them.

Boots can definitely shrink back if you don't leave them on the press for long enough, but I haven't had many issues with the FTs doing that.  I've definitely had the Lange Comp series and older Head FR series boots do that to me, such a pain in the ass.  The different additives each company puts into their plastic (especially at lower price points) really changes how easily (or not) it is to work on boots.

yes but grinding your boots is less effective cos you cant do it too much. And i dont think that my boots are any different from the ones from the factory. They just fit perfectly!

If there is not anyone fixing your boots where you live. You should start boot moulding business there... MAD MONEY!!1!
