No im saying that, say i had a friend or a family member, whos dropping out of school, never home and ruining theyre lives, then i would intervene. if someone is taking LCD every now and again or doing coke or whatever  go for it.

Im not suggesting drugs will ruin your life, im just saying dont let them.

And i dont get your point, i did say id let people live there own lives but if your being ruined by something thats never good. Do you see what im trying to say?

The way you come off is as if your in a better position than other people. There are people that have never take drugs or taken ridiculous amounts of drugs that are better off than either of us. To each their own. There is no set path for life that you have to follow.

Watch a show like intervention, if that was your dad brother mom or sister, your telling me you would be like "meh do what you want, go prostitute yourself for drugs no biggy", i know i wouldnt. For the third time, i dont care if you do drugs, just dont fuck up yourlife because of them.

drinking and smoking pot are totally different animals.

i think you're intelligent enough to know that, i'm not gonna make the argument that pot isn't as bad as alcohol, it isn't imo.

i've been in the position of getting fucked up everyday, i smoked pot like crazy for a while, i was pretty damn functional. i know people that drink everyday, functional isn't a word i would use to describe them.

i don't drink or smoke, i want to try acid, but that's it.

so i just got into college and am in a pretty good mindset im dropping acid for my first time saturday, im going to visit my friend at mcgill. he has done it many times before, and i have eaten a bunch of shrooms. anyone have any advice for a first timer?

Just stay positive. Do something fun or kick it someplace mellow, some where you feel comfortable with cool people.

That should help a lot. Don't go overboard, you can always take more. Don't eat a bunch because you don't feel anything crazy in the first hour.

and while i appreciate the bump, this is a pretty disappointing thread :/ a whoooooole lotta people talking about something they know nothing or very, very little about.

if you've taken one or a few trips, you've barely explored that other world... i've taken a stupid amount of trips and always learn more each time i drop. that's the beauty about the world- wonder never dies, there's always more to learn and experience. acid's an amazing tool and an incredible experience and i'd highly recommend everyone educate themselves a bit about it, then eat a 4-strip and hold on- it will be the most profound experience of your life.

to be honest, though, the three letters you should really want to find out about are "DMT". anyone can handle acid... DMT is on another level. it'll find you when, if ever, you're ready. it's the chemical your brain produces when you sleep- it's literally what dreams are made out of. flippin sweet.



OP, if you didn't like it, my guess is you didn't have LSD-25... i refuse to believe it's possible to not enjoy pure LSD-25. i've taken hundreds of trips (not a claim, just the truth and a validation) and i have never once had a bad acid trip... mushrooms are a different story, but never bad LSD-25. super-intense LSD-25, absolutely, but never bad acid.

The thread started off with a dumb op, and there are plenty off dumb responses in it, but in the 10 pages there are plenty of good responses.

 As for acid I've only tripped around 30-40 times. But I've gone on some amazing journeys. Always buying the best acid at shows and festivals. I buy the people and the product, not just by something they say is good acid. Never eaten more than a 10 but I've had some pretty intense and good rides on liquid and mic'ed up blotter.  Only smoked deemsters twice, and it was amazing both times.

But still even with a real good batch of clean clean shit, lsd is not for everyone. The majority it is an amazing experience that too few embark on.

I've had some great times on mushies before. I knew the source or had friends that had eaten the same batch almost all the times so they were always legit.

Do you go to any festivals?

i'm a rave DJ... i play at festivals. in fact, i'm working on getting to play at Burning Man 2011 and will be playing Juju Beats this October. if you're in the SoCal area of things, we should probably party together. just sayin...

i'll give you that LSD isn't for everyone, but i think the vast majority of NSers would be juuuuust fine on a hit or two their first time. it's intense, yeah, but after you condition your mind for an experience like that, 10+ in a 24 hr trip can take you places in your mind you never could have dreamed existed.

just sayin this- jedi flip, ftw. one thing to remember, though- hydrate, foo.

I did two my first time. Key is to do it with other people doing it and having one babysitter. We ended up sitting in a room with the lights off listening to Bubbles song from Super Troopers on a loop while staring at the screensaver and then proceeded to go walking around. We heard rabbits fucking at one point.

Nice. I still haven't made it to a burning man. Def on the list of things to do though. I'm def feeling a vegas trip sometime withing the next year and I got to cali very year for a couple weeks. Heat is def a bitch out in the desert. I haven't been out to az or nevada in a few years but it was def balls around vegas and def down around the canyon. I'm pretty good at keeping hydrated. Bonnaroo was balls hot last year. I'll def hit you up next time im out that way. You should come to the northeast for some festys sometime

What is a jedi flip? I've candy flipped, and hippieflipped, and both before but never heard of jediflipping. The first time I candy flipped I missed the whole show. I had never done it and hadn't dosed in a while. Ate 3 omegas and 5hits of us blues. On their own I would have been in an awesome place but semi grounded. I remember coming up hard first night of mow.down during first set. I remember somebody saying he's going during one of the jams. then I was just raging balls alone in color and music with flashing lights of every color. Then all the sudden the music stopped. And I asked my buddies when it was starting(While sounding like a lost 5 year old) Their like, It;s done. I'm like well when are they coming back on? No it's done for the night. What do you mean?

My friends said I was raging ridiculously hard with the biggest smile on my face the whole time. And everyone was sure I was having the best time out of everyone, so thats pretty cool, cause I def was. Post show was pretty rough though. Spun out hard with no more music. Finally I just walked around shakedown and popped through peoples easy ups till the sun came up.

The mixture of all of the above was the combo of a dub chocolate, a couple rows and me going  here here here here me, here here here me, with the last of the l. The lack of sleep food and some dehydration was a no no, but it's hard to remember when your raging a festival with all your friends. I only had 5 of my own, but some guy in the easy up near buy had givin me 2 hoffmans for some nugget. It wasn't any of the above that did me in, just my body had had enough and needed something (sleep food water anything) Buy a few songs in I started feeling real shitty, not the way you wanna be coming up on a cocktail. All the sudden the heads in the crowd were moving in waves like the ocean, and then started pulsing at me. Then my friend was slapping me in the face and yelling. I guess somewhere in there I dropped. He picked me up and then I went right back out I guess, Next thing I know I woke up and some guy is carying me towards the side of the crowd. Pushing people out of the way. On the outside he asked me if I could walk, I tried it and was like oh shit I can walk. So I thanked him and started power walking, exercise video style back to the campground. Then my buddy( the one who was slapping me awake) came running up with the health squad. They asked if I was alright and I was like not really, I need some water asap, and the douche told me I could buy water at the vendors so I ran away. My buddy was real legit though, He clubbed his way through the crowd screaming my buddy need s help, move, and made it to the health guys to save me. Just rode it out at the easy up, drank some water, through up and had a fucked up night.

That was way to long but I just kept typing, My bad, and cool story hansel. But whatever this jedi flip is, I probably won't try it these days. Some good l or mushies is as far as I venture out.

People can be addicted and fuck up their lives with cheeseburgers. If you only eat cheeseburgers every once in a while to enjoy the taste, you should be fine. Same with psychedelic drugs. The mind needs time to incorporate your experiences to make sense of them all. If you don't believe that psychedelic drugs can teach you anything, then consider the time between doses a break from the mindfuck. Because if you do go overboard, there are the cases of people beginning to lose touch with reality. Just as some people have higher metabolisms and process calories better, there are people who are headstrong that can fuck their minds righteously, but as soon as the drug wears off they're back to baseline and completely grounded. Everyones brain is different. Don't listen to what people on a forum tell you. Do the research, and YOU figure out whether it's something you want to try. Nobody's bias but yours should be included in that decision. My only advice to anyone tripping their first time is to go in open minded. That I believe is the key ingredient to a beneficial trip.
And drew, why would you rip people for researching these drugs. Is it wrong to want to know as much as possible about what you're putting in your body? Personally, the research I did on the drugs helped me to enjoy my first trip a lot more, because I knew that physically, these drugs are a lot safer than I was previously told/made to believe.

I actually only tried 2 doses of LSD because I had a migraine and one of my buddy had some and he told me to take two since it was originally designed as a headache medicine. So I did.... I enjoyed myself (heard rabbits fucking while on it.... was the scariest thing in the world)
