Truth. For the body, LSD has zero effect. Where-as alcohol kills brain cells, is harmful to your liver and has many other effects. LSD, if used by the right person often opens the mind to a different way of thinking. Alcohol seems to have a reverse affect. Of course if a weak minded person does LSD, they can go completely insane from the effects, it's not common but it has happened.

Also, alcohol only has the terrible effects you guys have described in the hands of weak minded individuals who turn to it daily to escape their concerns, or who drink and do something stupid like drive afterwards.

Alcohol has a well developed industry that surrounds it, but buying illegal drugs only supports drug dealers and drug cartels, which is another reason why I am against them.

We can agree to disagree, but also agree that anything that alters your state of mind is only dangerous in the hands of those who have weak minds.

my life is in no way ruined by doing "drugs". fact. all in moderation.


alcohol is one of the most destructive drugs on the planet. more lives are ruined by alcohol than all other drugs combined. to call me out and then say you "drink alcohol regularly" is extremely hippocritical.

oh, and I dont' do drugs to escape from my "real" life. I do drugs to find purpose in my "real" life and enjoy it from a different perspective which would otherwise be impossible.

but yeah, some of the beneftits of beer are that it is high in vitamin B6, can reduce the chance of blood clots (like wine), and has similar antioxidant levels as wine as well. the problem with wine is that a lot of the vitamins and other benefits are lost int eh fermentation, which happens with beer to but in different ways.

i feel like the point of this post is to say that you've been sober for 100 days and everyone else is a fuckup for "using drugs recreationally"

when really, we use the drugs recreationally because we never abused drugs to the extent you did, which is prob. the reason your 100 days sober.

there's no reason not to be able to smoke recreationally, and if you have any problem with that I think your vision's a little off.

While this response is a bit much, its very true that the only reason you have a bad trip on acid is because either something is wrong with you, for example guilt, regrets, things like that. The other aspect of acid is it feeds of your emotions and feelings at the present time. If you feel nervous and anxious, you'll have a bad trip. If your feeling good, with the right people and in a good environment its virtually impossible to have a bad trip. Please do not be put off by someone's bad trip, acid can be very healing and beneficial in actuality.

Not true, you just have to find the good acid my friend, not the dirty stuff. Anyway, all these kiddies should calm down, realize fighting on the internet will win you nothing haha. Just cause some kid wants to sell drugs doesn't make them a bad person, especially if there selling weed. You would think by now people would realize that weed is not all that bad for you and in fact is actually a hugely beneficial drug, look it up. Anyway, I would say acid is probably not for everyone in retrospect. If your an anxious person do not take acid. If you feel very worried before you take a tab, don't take it. If you feel like "euphoria" is a strange and scary term you should steer clear also. People need to know there limits and I seriously doubt any of you know the dosage you are getting on each tab or how dirty it is. Get some good clean L and go blow your mind.

Last one, of course everything must be done in moderation. Drinking kills so many people because they get out of hand. You lose your mind because you take too much L. You don't function because you took too much X. You can't remember because you smoked too much weed. Realize that moderation is key in indulgence.

Tried acid for the first time this past halloween. I took 3 tabs, I took like an hour an a half to kick in but once it did I'll tell you what it was amazing. I just walked around with my friends and two were dressed as convicts, one was Thing 2, and the last one had on a huge Winny the Poo costume on because we came from a halloween party, I'll I know is it is a hell of a drug and if taking with the right people it is extremely fun.

nothing worse than a born-again sober guy. look dude im glad youre sober and shit, but dont for one second dare to think you know why everybody does drugs, just cause you kicked the habit after abusing the shit out of them. just because you did it to "get high" and have such a narrow view on it doesnt mean shit to the thousands of people who smoke every day or whatever and dont go crazy with it, resulting in needing to go sober. i thinks its pretty clear that i do drugs in a much different way than you did

haha naw i was "in" this thread a painful amount for the first like 4 pages then got really sick of it. i smoke every day because its fun and helps me deal with bullshit. as soon as it becomes a problem ill kick it like i did ciggies. im sorry about my post i just cant stand when people are born again whatevers and act like they know everything on the subject

I lost 10 pounds, got a 3.8 and increased my bench by 30 pounds in one month by not drinking. I did this senior year of college and I have tried every October since (October is a good month because nothing much is going on till then end) but I have failed every time.

Also that is what I have been trying to get across in this thread, drug use is not noble or even counter cultural. If you are doing LSD once ever couple of months to gain a new perspective on life that makes some sense. But if you are smoking weed every day and drinking all the time it is because you want to have a good time, a selfish time.

I would challenge anyone to answer Drew's question. Why?

did you read my post? i kindly asked you to tell me what gives you the authority to say that just because it has a certain effect on YOU, it will have the same effect on everyone, or everyone does it for the same reason (at the base of it). what do you know about life that makes you qualified to say that?
