Macbeth/Lord of the Flies comparison?

I have to write an essay on the similarities between shakespeare's macbeth and lord of the flies. I know that the main similarity is that Jack and Macbeth are both corrupted by ultimate power but i don't know how i can write an essay of decent length on just that. Does anyone have any specific similarities between the two and/or any suggestions on what path i should take with this essay?

honnestly, the best advice i can give you is to go on http://www.sparknotes.com and search both books, then you look at the themes and motifs and all that and then you throw up a bunch of bullshit onto your paper and hand it in. That site got me through 4 years of english in high school.
