Replying to Removing Brakes from Binding?

I'm wondering if there is a way to remove brakes from your binding. I kind of want to try a little ground trick this year where when I put my skis on I put one on then move a foot or too and while moving throw my other ski down and snap into it on the fly. I got to thinking about it and assumed that the brakes would have to be removed to do this. Has anybody done this ground trick i'm talking about? Do you need to take your brakes off? Or am I wrong and you can leave them on. If you need to take them off does anybody know a way you can do it? I can post a pic of my bindings. There cheap rossi's and I can't find the name for them.
