How old are you? I am pegging you at about 15 or so. It is FANTASTIC idea, especially at that age, to look past all of the petty bullshit that you encounter in life and just let it go. Take the higher road and ask her to stop taking you hat and spreading rumors about you.

Or you can just start dating her, get very involved with her, emotionally AND physically. Then, 6 years down the road after you two are living together and fully committed to each other, propose to her. She will obviously say yes. Plan an extravagant wedding and an even better honeymoon.
