Is anyone out there a big Art History nerd out there like me lol. Im currently studying high gothic style cathedrals and its pretty mind blowing. I guess Im posting this thread cause I feel like there aren't many of us out there. When ever I bring it up with my friends I get a big WTF face.
nah she did, but me and my brother were more concerned trying to figure out if her name was hyphenated from a marriage or her parents. it was the weirdest thing though, she was hot and couldnt have been even close to over 30....but her hair was like silverish grey and it almost looked natural.
Well if we're talking Arch History, Nicholas Hawksmoor is my personal favorite. I'm not a huge fan of English Baroque, but his work was fucking boss. In particular, his St George in the East strikes a chord with me. I love the large, carved masses and the shadows they create. It gives it a very dark emotion. Love it.
one of the worst classes i took at university was an art history class, but that was because it was a weed-out class. otherwise give me byzantine art, hellenistic shite, and maybe some bronze age shit while youre at it.
Gothic is pretty sexy. I've researched my brains out on gothic and romanesque
I'm in the same boat as you, but I think I have to take more than 12 art history credits. I enjoy it..but I guess it depends on the teacher..they can make or break the class.
